Engr. Dr. Risikat Olaide Yusuf is a distinguished Agricultural Engineer and Chief Agricultural Engineer with the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM), Idofian, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. She holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree and has a Ph.D, with specialization in machine design for crop processing and storage. Her research and professional work span agricultural machinery design and fabrication, crop processing and storage, post-harvest technologies, ergonomics, and monitoring and evaluation of agro-processing technologies. She has contributed to the development and performance evaluation of several agricultural machines and technologies, including cassava graters and sifters, melon shellers and oil extractors, crop planters, fruit and vegetable slicers, crop drying platforms, and improved technologies for processing cassava, yam and oil palm.
Engr. Yusuf is a COREN-registered engineer and a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers (NIAE), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN), and Pan-African Society of Agricultural Engineers (PASAE). She has served NIAE in several leadership capacities, including National Auditor II, National Treasurer, National Ex-Officio and Business Manager. She has also held leadership responsibilities within APWEN, NSE and NCAM. A researcher and published author, Engr. Yusuf has contributed numerous journal articles and conference papers on agricultural mechanization, food processing, machine development, food security and sustainable agricultural development.
