Call for Nomination and Application into the National Executive Committee 2025 Election
With the approval of the National Executive Council and by the provision of the Constitution, the election of the Executive positions of the NIAE will be taking place during the Ilorin Conference at the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation. Call is hereby made for nomination and/or application into the six Executive Committee positions (Kindly check the constitution for eligibility). Please note that with the adoption of the rotational system in the recent time, the positions have been zoned to each region as listed below (i.e. Applications from a zone must be for a post). Screening will be done for eligibility.
National Chairman – South East
National Vice Chairman – North West
National Secretary – South West
National Technical Secretary – North East
National Assistant Secretary – South South
National Treasurer – North Central
With this, embargo has now been lifted with immediate effect and members are hereby free to apply and start declaring intention. Campaign will stop 24 hours to the day of election (Midnight of Wednesday).
General Guidelines for all Aspirants
- Completion of the electoral form before deadline.
- Be screened to meet the criteria for the post to which he/she is vying for.
- Be ready to give manifesto before elections.
- An active member of his or her Region/Chapter of NIAE i.e. consistent in meeting and chapter activities.
- Up-to-date in NIAE dues payment at the national level.
- Up-to-date in NIAE dues payment at the state/branch level where they exist.
- Attended up to 40% of the National NIAE AGM in the last 10 years, while State and Regional AGM will be added advantage.
- Ready to prepare an issue-based manifesto.
- Must submit a passport photograph for electronic voting.
- All intending aspirants must have satisfied at least 90% of all stated criteria

In view of the requirements, the Committee, in conjunction with the Secretariat, has updated the database of members and all votes will be cast using electronic voting.
All the posts are now zoned; there can’t be two from a zone. All contestants from a zone must be for a post.
All intending aspirants and voters are to further update their records and financial status through the institution’s website below:
The membership number, being a unique identifier, will be used as the access code.
