WHAT REGIONAL CHAIRMEN AND CHAPTER COORDINATORS SHOULD DO
- Use the proposed detailed programs above to draw their own regional and chapter programs
- As part of the plan is to start NIAE chapter where they do not exist and revive where they are not functioning well
- Use the guidelines on common activities to help them
- Liaise with Chairman and NEC members for clarity where there are issues
- Ex-Officio 1 is to work with Regional chairmen in North East, North Central and North West
- Ex-Officio 2 is to work with Regional Chairmen in South-south, South East and South West
Guide to Common Regional and Chapter programmes and activities
- Career counselling for secondary school students (twice a year)
- Technical tour to industries, farms and places of agricultural and engineering interests
- Creation and induction of new chapters
- Advocacy visits to government ministries, departments and agencies and private enterprises
- Membership drive and mobilization to Universities, Polytechnics, colleges of Agriculture for both staff and students as well government and private enterprises
- Regular business meetings (monthly, bimonthly, Quarterly) of the branch and regions
- Technical paper presentation on relevant topics and other capacity building programmes
- Youth entrepreneurship and capacity building for young agricultural engineering graduates through Seminars and Workshops
- Induction of new members and students at various branches.
- Conferences, workshops and seminars for members and enlightenment for the public
- Consultancy and training for fund generation
- Any other localized programme Such programmes must have banners, adequately publicized and reported in media
