NOTICE OF NIAE NATIONAL ELECTIONS 2023

In compliance with Section 8 subsection 6 (Electioneering), of  the NIAE Constitution as amended, I wish to inform all Members of the Institution that the NIAE General Elections is scheduled to hold during her forth coming Annual General Meeting in Maiduguri. All positions shall be vacant. Interested members are encouraged to note the following guidelines:

• Purchase the electoral form (the form and cost of purchase would be made know soon);
• Complete and submit the form before the deadline (date to be determined by the Electoral Committee);
• Be screened to meet the criteria for the positions being contested;
• Be ready to give an issue-based manifesto before the election;
• Be an active member of his or her region/chapter i.e. consistent in attendance at meetings and participation in chapter activities;
• Up-to-date in the payment of dues at national level;
• Up-to-date in the payment of dues at the state/branch level, where they exist;
• Attended up to 50% of the State NIAE AGM in the last 10 years;

Also note that:

• The election shall be conducted online
• Members must have an active email address
• Both contestant and voters are encouraged to be financially up to date. (Contact the National Financial Secretary, Engr. Gambo Bala Jahun on 08028303417).

The Electoral Committee shall soon release the call for nomination to elective positions.
